David CRockett

Senior Manager, Engineering

David assists in leading the Engineering Team, focusing on the rooftop electrical design of commercial and agricultural solar PV projects. David joined UGE in 2011 and is responsible for the complete electrical design and review of all major client projects, including relations between the client and all stakeholders. David is an industry expert and proven adviser to the solar energy industry in Ontario. Prior to joining UGE, David had been involved in testing the performance of catalysts for nuclear reactors and systems programming at Flynn Canada. David graduated from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at University of Toronto. During his time there, he worked as a co-op for Rack Net-Works, a civil engineering firm developing mobile applications.

Victor Yeung

Manager, Engineering

Victor is a member of the Engineering Team, focusing on the utility-scale electrical design of ground-mount solar PV projects. Victor joined UGE in 2012 after graduating from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Through their co-op program, he brings experience as an Electrical Engineering Assistant at Walterfedy, and was part of the electrical engineering services team focusing in commercial and industrial building power system upgrades and renovations. He also brings field inspection and estimation experience in real estate developments at Minto, where he was part of the mechanical and electrical engineering team.

Ben Rodgers

Manager, Engineering Design

Ben is a designer on UGE's engineering team, focusing on commercial and industrial grid-connected solar PV projects. He joined UGE in April, 2017 during the acquisition of the Carmanah Solar Power Corp team. Ben brings to the table 18 years of solar experience including hands-on experience at Panasonic Eco Solutions and three other reputable solar companies. He studied molecular genetics at Carleton University and went to Madagascar on a telemedicine internship where he became acquainted with solar power and basic infrastructure challenges. After returning to Canada with a new perspective, he and the solar industry found each other. He has served as an instructor in college PV technician courses (2008), on the CanSIA Board of Directors (2008-2009) and on the NABCEP Job Task Analysis committee (2009).

Krisztian Futo

Senior Designer

Krisztian is a senior designer on UGE's engineering team, focused on the electrical design of utility scale ground mount solar projects. Prior to joining UGE in 2017, Krisztian worked at HH Angus for 4 years in the technology department, focused on the design and commissioning of electrical systems in data centers and transit. He also worked for Novatrend Engineering for 2 years, where he performed the electrical design work and site review of high rise residential buildings. Krisztian brings a wide array of experience having worked closely with engineers, consultants, and contractors during both the design and construction phases of projects, to meet client’s technical requirements.

Bonnie Nokham

Senior Technologist

Bonnie is a member of the Engineering Team, focusing on providing drafting support in the development, design, review and implementation of large-scale rooftop and ground mount solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. After graduating from Ryerson University with a degree in Architectural Science, she's been working in the solar industry as a draftsperson since 2013. Bonnie joined UGE in 2015 during the acquisition of Carmanah Solar Power Corp's team and business and has previous solar experience from RESCo as well. 

Bonnie leads a drafting team at UGE, providing guidance, quality assurance, and architecture.
