Xiangrong Xie is a successful entrepreneur who has built businesses in China and Cambodia in the natural resources, tourism, bio-medicine, real estate and clean energy sectors. Government related posts Ms. Xie has held include Deputy Director of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the China Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, Vice President of the Federation of Overseas Chinese, Deputy Director of the Overseas Chinese Federation and Deputy Director of the International Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Hebei Province, among others.
Mr. Doolan is currently Executive Vice President and CFO of Molycorp Inc. (formerly Neo Material Technologies Inc.), a producer, processor and developer of rare earth materials and magnetic powders. Mr. Doolan is also a corporate director and chairman of the audit committee of Route1 Inc. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Falconbridge Limited ofToronto since 2002, prior to its merger with Noranda, Inc. Mr. Doolan has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of financial management with specific expertise in international mergers and acquisitions, offshore financing structures, and international treasury management.
Baoxin Yang is currently the Chairman of Castel Qihua Hi-Tech Investments Ltd, a manufacturer of engine and generator components. Baoxin Yang graduated from the Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology, following which he served as general manager of Yingkou Xin Xinda Wire and Cable Co., Ltd. and Dalian Xinda Transformer Co., Ltd.
Joyce is currently the founder and managing partner of Blue Hill Partners, a venture capital firm investing in emerging technology companies in the energy efficiency sector, and has been an entrepreneur in the energy technology industry for more than 30 years. She has been an operating executive, investor, and active board member in 11 entrepreneurial companies with technologies and services related to growing the deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the built environment. Joyce recently completed a role as CFO and COO of Nextility, Inc., a high growth solar company, where she built the financial tools and team to manage a highly complex financial structure with over 250 solar rooftop projects in multiple states and Puerto Rico. She also built the solar asset management team and managed the solar development team. Prior to founding Blue Hill, Joyce was a senior founding executive and principal shareholder with Reading Energy, an early independent power company founded in 1985. Joyce has held numerous board positions and is currently on the board of Aircuity and Performance Systems Development. A recognized thought leader, Joyce is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and was recently named one of the Top Twenty Women Cleantech Investors.
Chris Varrone, Founder of Riverview Consulting, Inc., is a Cambridge-trained economist and former McKinsey consultant who specializes in wind energy technology and distributed generation. He has spoken at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi and his articles on renewable energy have appeared in International Sustainable Energy Review, Renewable Energy Focus, Clean Technica, and the Atlantic Online. Previously Chief Strategist, Technology R&D, at Vestas Wind Systems A/S. A Fulbright Scholar in Norway, he graduated summa cum laude from Williams College, and holds the M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University, where his dissertation was awarded the Gladstone Prize.
Nicholas Parker currently Founding Managing Partner of Global Acceleration Partners Inc. (“GAP”), a financial enterprise established in 2012 to address global megatrends shaping basic needs for clean energy, food, water and smart infrastructure by accelerating cross-border deployment of technologies and business models into emerging economies, particularly China. Nicholas launched the Cleantech Group (“CTG”) in 2002, a market-leading research and advisory company that he chaired until the end of 2013. Under his leadership, CTG helped mobilize over $6B in private equity, convened 10,000+ decision-makers around the world, and analysed 16,000+ cleantech innovators while serving major corporations, governments and institutions in Asia, Europe, the Middle East. and North America, creating a global ecosystem. Prior to starting CTG, Nicholas accumulated over 15 years’ experience forming and investing funds worldwide through limited partnerships, family offices, corporate funds and endowments. During this time, he initiated the first trans-Atlantic "sustainability" private equity fund, the first pan-Asian fund, the first cross-border India fund and participated in the second ever solar IPO on NASDAQ.
